Personalization can be overwhelming to think about, but what if you were only personalizing for one person? This is where personas can help. You’ve probably heard that a persona is an outline of your ideal customer, so if you only have one person to focus on at a time, it can help give you a better starting point for customizing for your target audience.


If you are constantly thinking about each piece of content, and who it is targeted for, it will always have a personalization plan with a specific audience that will want to consume it. You can think of personas as a group of people represented by one specific profile. Every business is different so you will probably have a number of different persona’s that are you focusing your marketing around. 

You don’t need to narrow it down to one, but starting with a small number helps you focus in on what’s import and who you are targeting with your efforts.
